Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-05-15 · Last updated: 2026-05-15

At a glance

PageSage is built to be private by default. We do not require an account, we do not collect your name, email, or any personal information, and we do not show ads. The only data that leaves your device is what's needed to process your in-app purchases (handled by Google Play and RevenueCat). Your reading content, vocabulary, highlights, notes, and reading progress stay on your device.

Who we are

PageSage is operated by Akshay C K, an independent developer based in India, acting as the Data Controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent data protection laws.

This policy explains what information PageSage collects, how it's used, who it's shared with, and your rights regarding your data.

Information we collect

We've designed PageSage to collect as little information as possible. Here's exactly what we do collect, and why.

Purchase information (via Google Play and RevenueCat)

When you buy an in-app product (Aesthetic Pack, Scanner Pack, PDF Studio, or Founders Bundle), Google Play handles the payment processing. We never see your payment method, card number, or billing address. PageSage does receive:

This information is sent to RevenueCat, a third-party service we use to manage in-app purchases. RevenueCat is contractually required to keep this data secure and use it only for the purposes of providing purchase management.

Crash reports and basic diagnostics (via Google Play)

If PageSage crashes on your device, Google Play may automatically collect anonymized crash reports as part of normal Android app operation. This is governed by Google's own privacy policy; we don't directly receive or store the underlying data, but we use Google Play Console's crash dashboard to identify and fix bugs.

What stays only on your device

The following data is stored locally on your device using Android's standard local storage. It is never transmitted to us, to any third party, or to any server:

If you uninstall PageSage or clear the app's data, all of the above is permanently deleted from your device.

Permissions we request

PageSage requests the following Android permissions, and uses each strictly for the stated purpose:

What we do NOT collect

We want to be explicit about this. PageSage does not collect or transmit:

How we use information

The limited information we do collect (purchase data via RevenueCat) is used exclusively to:

We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, personalization, or selling to third parties.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing personal data are:

Third-party services

PageSage uses the following third-party services. Each link goes to the provider's own privacy policy so you can see how they handle data.

International data transfers

The third-party service providers PageSage uses — RevenueCat (headquartered in the USA) and Google (USA, with regional infrastructure) — may store and process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with similar data protection laws, transfers to these providers are protected by:

The data transferred is strictly limited to what is described in the "Information we collect" section above — primarily an anonymous user identifier and purchase records.

Children's privacy

PageSage is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because PageSage does not require an account and does not collect personally identifiable information from any user, the practical risk is low for any age group.

For parents and guardians: If you believe a child under 13 has used PageSage and you have concerns about any data, please contact us at pagesage007@gmail.com. We will work with you to investigate and address the concern. In-app purchases can be controlled at the Google account level via Google Family Link.

For users in the European Economic Area aged under 16: Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 8, processing of personal data of children under 16 (or the relevant national threshold, which varies between 13 and 16) generally requires parental consent. Because PageSage does not collect personally identifiable information, this consent requirement does not practically apply, but you are welcome to contact us with questions.

For users in the United Kingdom aged under 18: The UK Age Appropriate Design Code applies to information society services likely to be accessed by children. PageSage is designed with privacy-by-default and data-minimization principles consistent with this code.

Your rights — international users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with similar data-protection laws, you have the following rights regarding any personal data we hold about you:

Because we collect only an anonymous user identifier and purchase records, the practical scope of these rights for a typical PageSage user is limited. To exercise any of these rights, email us at pagesage007@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Your rights — California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of personal information, to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of your information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

PageSage does not sell or share personal information for advertising or marketing purposes. To exercise any California privacy rights, email pagesage007@gmail.com.

Data retention

Purchase records held by RevenueCat are retained for the lifetime of your account with RevenueCat (which is tied to your anonymous AppUserID), so that you can restore purchases on a new device or reinstall. RevenueCat retains this data per their own retention policy.

Local data on your device is retained until you delete it (by removing highlights/notes individually, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app).

We do not retain any personal information ourselves on our own servers, because we do not collect any.

Security

All data transmitted between PageSage and third-party services (RevenueCat, Google Play) is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS). Local data on your device is protected by Android's standard app sandbox.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security incident that affects user data, we will notify affected users and applicable regulatory authorities as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes (for example, adding a new third-party service, enabling analytics, or changing how we handle data), we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via an in-app notice on next app launch.

The current version of this policy is always available at this URL.
